- Want to brush up on Winter Rules?
- All these items and many more are now available on our men’s club website. Huge thanks to Paul Petroff for setting it up. Please use this site frequently to stay up to date on men’s club happenings.
- Photographer: I’m looking for someone to be our club photographer. The description would be to take pictures at club events like the Fall Classic or Eagle Crest Cup or the Ladies Mixer so they can be posted on the website. (The photographer doesn’t have to do the website part.) No fancy camera needed, just a willingness to take some photos. Contact me if you’d like to help out. (mebessonette@bendbroadband.com).
- Men’s Club BOD Notes
- The board reviewed the end of year awards. No additional awards will be given for the Fall Classic. (no trophies)
- We are at 48 members to date with several new members.
- The board voted to continue payouts at around 40% of the field. Ties will no longer be broken; the money will be divided evenly between the placing teams.
- Paul Petroff shared about the information available on the men’s club website. We are excited about the possibilities both short term and in the future.
- Meeting with Ron Buerger and Kevin Story-We met with Ron and Kevin on January 9th; here are highlights from that conversation.
- We shared that the new carts are great and appreciation for all the winter work being done on all three courses.
- Plans of the courses in 2026 include completing the cart path paving on the Ridge Course (budget permitting) and seal coating on the Resort Course.
- Completing the filling and landscaping of the pond on between holes 6 and 8 on the Resort Course.
- We requested “Flag Assist baskets” on the bottom of pins be added to all the holes on the resort. Ron is looking in to doing this.
- New Carts: with the new carts please do not use heaters unless you open the front windows. The higher placement of the dashboard can cause damage to the windshield.
- Online registration with OGA for your Eagle Crest GHIN is coming soon. It will be a much easier way to register. Details to follow.
- This summer there will be a twilight golf league.
- Eagle Crest will host a PGA of Hope training. This is the charity that benefitted from the No Wimps Open and introduces and helps veterans to enjoy the game of golf.
- It was requested that we do not use the same ruts over and over again with golf carts on the courses during the winter.
- Upcoming Events
- Low Key Winter Golf Tournament first round January 28.
- Posting season and the Niblick’s Cup competition begin March 1st.
