Memo from the Prez September

  1. Resort Cup-The Eagle Crest Resort Cup team led by captain Tim Causey has done well through three rounds, and we hold a slim 2-point lead going into the final round at Sun River Woodlands Course on September 14th.   
  2. Ladies Mixer- September 22 we will join with the E.C. Women’s Golf Group for a fun charity event benefitting Sara’s Project/Breast Cancer Awareness. The women’s club is hosting a Gala Event on Saturday, September 19th.You should have already received a flyer advertising that event.
  3. Men’s Club BOD- Please mark your calendars for the end of year lunch and general meeting on November 11th. This is an election year, and new officers will be elected at that meeting. The elected officers are President, Vice President/Secretary and Treasurer. If you are interested in running for any of these offices, please contact me.
  4. Men’s Club Championship-The Men’s Club Championship was held August 19, 20 and 26. 47 golfers signed up for the event with more than $3000 in prize money available.  Mike Calhoun was crowned as the new club champion and Terry Cleaver won the net championship. Flight winners were as follows: Nicklaus Flight-Jerry McVay, Palmer Flight-Dave McKinney, Snead Flight-Bryan Baker and Hogan Flight-Hayden Price.     1. Fall Classic. Our final tournament that you don’t want to miss  is the Fall Classic, September 28, 29 and 30. Roger Edgerly and committee have put together a great event for the 3-day tournament with several side games and a great raffle. Information is already out and is available on the website.  
    2. Upcoming Events-the next several weeks are full of many special events, be sure to sign up and join the fun.
      • September 9-Home and Home @ Meadow Lakes. There will be a new format for this event. 2-man best ball with Stableford scoring.Men’s Club at Tokatee Golf Club-September 16 (no event at EC this week) Limit 36 players Cost $75 walking, $95 w/cart. Game is 2-man best ball, pick your partner.  Invitations out soonLadies Mixer for Breast Cancer Awareness-September 22. The Women are hosting so this round is on a Tuesday.Fall Classic-September 28, 29 and 30. Invitations for this event are already out.
