Memo from the Prez February #2

It is a bit early for March memo but lots of information I wanted to get out now.

1. Quick Notes:

a. For the round on February 25 Make sure you stop by the check-in desk and sign the card for our good fried Greg Middlebrook.

b. Niblick’s Cup: there will be a separate communication for the 2026 Niblick’s cup coming out soon.

c. Important Information: be sure to check the bottom of this memo for some very important information. J

2. Low Key Winter Tournament: Here is the latest on the LKWT.

A Flight: Gallegos and Younger won the A flight championship defeating Cole and Causey 1Up. This week they will play the B Flight winner Cox and Cleaver for the overall championship.

3. Men’s Club 2026 schedule:

The 2026 men’s club schedule is now complete. I have attached a copy, and you can find it on the club website. https://ecmensgolfclub.com/

4. A Flight Assigned Tees:

Beginning March 1st all tee boxes will be back in play. Based on feedback from A Flight players, each round A Flight players will play from the same set of assigned tees. The assigned tees will rotate weekly between Blue and Blue White for the Resort and Ridge courses based on the weekly game. The challenge course will primarily be on the blue tees. A new schedule will be posted on the website that will have the assigned tees for that week’s game. Flights B, C, and D will continue to play preferred tees.

5. Photographer:

Team Gallegos Joe and wife Colleen have volunteered to be our event photographers. Thanks to both.

6. 2026 Season Golf Passes:

These are now available on Eagle Crest Golf Website or in the pro shop. https://www.eaglecrestgolforegon.com/ Current year passes expire February 28.

7. Membership:

Men’s club membership is from January 1 to January 1. We will use the 2025 membership list until the end of February and then switch over to the 2026 list. If you haven’t renewed your men’s club membership, please do that ASAP. We have 11 new members to date this year which is great. Below is a list of those who have signed up and those who have not as of February 24th. A copy of the membership form is available on the men’s club website or in the pro shop.

8. Fred Duysings Update:

Fred continues his recovery from his battle with prostate cancer. He reports he is feeling better but still not ready for full-time golf. He and his wife are on vacation in Hawaii this week.

9. Upcoming Events

a. Posting season and the Niblick’s Cup competition begin March 1st.

b. Resort Course is scheduled to open March 7th.

c. In April, we will have two Home and Home events with Crooked River Ranch and Juniper Golf Club. Both will be at Eagle Crest.
