December 2025
- 2025 Review.
2025 was a great year highlighted by several excellent and competitive tournaments and a winning year for our Resort Cup team. We combined with the ladies to host two charity events, the September Ladies Event for “Sara’s Project” and Breast Cancer awareness raised $10,200 and the Gobble Gobble Give Back raised $6000 for Brightside Animal Center. The GGGB event has raised approximately $20,000 for local Redmond Charities over the last 4 years. - Board of Directors.
I want to thank the members of our board for their work in guiding the club this year. They have been instrumental in the success of the club. Past President, Roger Edgerly, Vice President/Secretary-Steve Lauren, Treasurer-Dave Miller, Assistant Treasurer-Dan Kellogg, Golf Committee Chair-Mike Corwin, Event Coordinator-Eric Erickson, Membership Chair-Ron Shoquist, Advisory/Communication Chair-Curt Davis, Rules and Handicap-Joe Perry, and Technology Chair-Paul Petroff. - Year End Lunch and meeting.
We enjoyed our year end lunch, general meeting and awards at
Niblicks and Greens on November 5th. Terry Cleaver was crowned as the winner of the first annual Niblick’s Cup (a season long formula of consistent and competitive play) and received a $500 award. Ron Cox place second and Jeff Cole 3rd. They received a check for $300 and $100 respectively. The quest for next year’s cup champion will begin with posting season in March. Included on page 3 are the standings for the Niblick’s Cup and other season long categories as well as other awards. - Information from Golf Pro Kevin Story.
- The price for the home and home and Resort Cup events will likely see an increase next year. These haven’t been adjusted in a while.
- Signing up for your handicap will have two methods this year. In December the window will
be open to apply for your 2026 handicap in the past way, via application from the Eagle Crest Golf and payment by check. If you are going to warmer climates and will be posting scores in January and February, you should use this method. After the first of the year and going forward handicap application will be done directly with the Oregon Golf Association through Member Planet. This is an online process with payment by card directly to OGA. If you are staying locally through the winter, you might want to wait and apply for your handicap with this process. In the future, this will become the standard application process. - Winter Golf Shop Sale. The Winter Golf Shop Sale is this week (December 2-4). With discounts across the board except for special order items–a good time to use golf shop credits.
Wishing you and yours a wonderful Holiday Season.
